So, I do this every year, to the discontent of those who hate long posts everywhere, but I feel that it's very necessary. This is what I'm thankful for...but first an introduction:
The past couple of weeks have been a couple of the worst weeks of my life (I personally believe). I've dealt with many things before, but never so many coming at me all at once. Personal, to Family, to Academic, to Work...it all hit me at once, and frankly is still going on. I've been depressed before, and it's somewhere that I don't ever want to be again. And even still, I found myself headed there once again. Let's recap...
-My grandmother is back in the hospital
-My friend in Iraq is injured (this is a new one)
-I had to forfeit my BS/MS credit for Graphics
-I'm behind quite literally by days on my graphics and on my Art
-I'm behind a week or so on my MQP
All of this put together, makes me a very sad panda. Why am I thankful then, you ask? Well, there are very specific people, as well as groups of people... Let's start with groups. Remember there is absolutely no reason to think you're not helping if I don't point you out.
Trowbridge Peepz:
Been with me since the beginning, and I always know I can go to you for nothing more than a good time or a laugh or something better than what's actually going on in my life.
SocComm Peepz:
Every experience I've had thus far with SocComm has been a good one, and the people I've met have been absolutely phenomenal. Thank you for everything.
Now to the individual people, in no particular order, except for the last couple who stick out in my mind the most only because of their support in the last couple of really bad weeks. Note that Ari is not in this. That's because she's been supportive for obvious reasons :P
Andrew: It's been a blast working on the MQP so far, and the fact that you've been so understanding about my situation, inabaility to work, etc., makes me very appreciative of all your support. You're a great friend and an awesome MQP partner. Rock on.
Shaun: So, this one is funny, because you've been great over the past term like you were when we were roommates. You've kept the roommate demeanor, and that's awesome, I really appreciate it, even though we realy hate each other deep down :P
Loopy Lopez: Hey man, even though we've both been doing pretty crappy (at least you a couple times :P) you've been doing a great job with keeping up with the work you need to do, as well as just hanging out and being awesome. I couldn't ask for anything more.
And on the top of the list at the moment:
Caitlin: You may think you haven't done anything, but good friends from the beginning don't need to :P Just being there is absolutely wonderful. Thanks for existing. hehe
Alew: Oh you know why already! Thanks for being awesome, and being such a good friend. I met you not to long ago officially, but we're so awesome, we were bound to be good friends! Thanks for everything, and I'm sure we'll be talking soon :)
Bisol: Someone that I can always go to, at least when I think of it :P You're a great friend as well, and hanging out with you, even if I make fun ;) is always a pleasure. NACA was awesome with you along, even with you're very focused agenda. hehe.
Dave: Dave, by you being me, it's pretty obvious as to why you're awesome. No need to explain...just keep being the good friend you are ;) I've been me longer than i've been you, after all.
Basilio: To spare me the novel writing, I'll just say thanks for everything. You had to deal with me before NACA, pretending to be happy, but ranting to you...you had to deal with me at NACA, feeling even worse, and you've had to deal with me after NACA, feeling COMPLETELY horrible, and looking for someone to cling to.
And that, ladies and gentleman, is what I am thankful for. The people, the places...mostly the people :P I thank you for everything, and hope that you will continue to take my annoyance as I finish this horrible HORRIBLE term.
